Quick way to view dependent services!

If you need to find out which services if any, are dependent on a specific service before actually stopping it you could run a simple command and find out! Remember, that when stopping a service, all dependent services stop too and you could cause a system to malfunction.

A quick way to list all dependent services is to run the command sc enumdepend service_name from a command prompt. SC is a command line tool used for communicating with the Service Control Manager and services.

For instance, to list all dependent services on the Print Spooler, at the command prompt type:

sc enumdepend spooler

To view a list of all options, at the command prompt type sc /?
